THE NEXT MORNING LANCER, Ash, and I went shopping. Benden went with us. “Hey, B’Lana. What games do you like to play?”

“Um, I like some war games, but I also like the type where you build things and level up. When I was younger I used to hang out at the local arcade and played Mario Kart, a lot! Plus they had this old fashioned game called Asteroids. It was actually a lot of fun. Once, I won a tournament. I beat out a bunch of high school guys.” I chuckled remembering those days.

“Cool, what gaming system do you recommend?” Benden was elbows deep in the games display.

“I think we should get PS4. They have some games that require you to stand up and move around along with some war games you’ll like.” I pulled up the PS4 box and put in our shopping cart.

Next thing on the list - television. Lancer was glued to the wall of display TV’s. His mouth hung open and his eye were wide. I ran my hand in front of his face. “Earth to Lancer, hello Lancer. Can you hear me?”

He slapped my hand away from his face. “What? Can’t a guy drool at all of the different types of TV’s?”

“That’s what I thought. Admit it. You loved my idea.” I lightly punched him in the arm. “You really should listen to me more often. I think you’ll be much happier.” I smiled and walked away.

He yelled out, “Somehow, I think I would be in more trouble if I listened to you more often.”

After several hours of shopping we all came back ready to get the place set up. “Ash, grab that end of this couch. I want it directly in front of the new TV. Benden, start putting it up on the wall between the two windows.” Lancer pointed to the back wall.

“Boss, where do want the rest of the couches and recliners?” Ash asked.

“Make a U-shape with them so that they are all facing the TV. Leave plenty of space in front so that we can have room to move around when the gaming requires it.” Lancer was in command mode and directing everyone as to what to do and where to put the stuff we bought. Thankfully, Benden was the tech wizard and he knew how to set it all up.

Once we got the Wifi going on the TV it was easy to log into Netflix as well. We had a pretty sweet setup. I just knew this was going to be the best way to get to know my entire squad better.

“Benden, how did you already have a Netflix account?” I asked and Lancer turned his head and stared at Benden.
